Senator Tom Daschle recently stated that now the war in Afghanistan is effectively over, save for the present cave-bombings, that the Bush administration will need to give some information to the American people (code-word for Congress) before expanding the "War on Terrorism" to other countries. He said that there would probably be questions as to (a) the expenditures related to the war, (b) the effectiveness of the war, and (c) in which direction the administration wanted to take the war.
