Macintosh coolness...

Mac OSX comes with Apache built in. Cool. (Not to mention it comes with emacs-21.1, ssh client and server, ftp client and server, BASH, CSH, blah blah blah.... it's a unix box).

I have to admit I don't know squat about Apache, and so I wonder how to fix this:

Movie Review

Watched Willow with the kidz on Friday. Little person is charged with the safe delivery of a baby who will grow to unseat the magically powerful evil queen. The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe meets The Lord of the Ring. I enjoyed it (for what it was), as did my 11-year-old.

It had been years since I'd seen it, and I forgot about the level of violence in the movie. Nothing bad at all, just battle violence -- swords -- and a monster that eats people. But not appropriate for my three-year-old.

Movie Reviews

Castle in the Sky - anime/family - directed by Miyazaki (who also did Spirited Away). Very good. Intersting theme. Interesting imagery. Not formulaic. Not dumbed-down for children's sakes. Interesting theme. Enjoyable for kids and adults.

The Eye - suspense - directed by ??? - Wow. Can you say "chills up your spine?" Great up to the end, when it got a bit cheesy and predictable. From Hong Kong. In Cantonese.
